What We Do

With the use of occupational interest areas, professional programs for development, advocacy efforts and online and print publication, TLC enables scores of teachers, research assistants and administrators globally to become more knowledgeable and skilled in their careers. Join THE LONDON COUNCIL.

Participate in TLC, and be a part of the collaborative global community that is devoted to creating opportunities by teaching English to those who speak other languages.

THE LONDON COUNCIL is overseen by a 12-member directorate, which are elected. THE LONDON COUNCIL administrator serves in an ex-officio capacity for the board. Each of THE LONDON COUNCIL associate members in good standing may vote in directorate election annually.

The directorate holds three meetings annually; typically in March, June, and October, to critique forward motion of the association's plan of action, talk about budgetary needs and conduct any other needed business discussions.

Training for Institutions

A customized seminar for organizations on the amended THE LONDON COUNCIL Pā–’^ā–’^ā–’12 ESL Teacher Standards is presented each year at THE LONDON COUNCIL International Convention. The seminar supplies education for personnel to prepare a program report for their organization, and includes consultation with highly trained reviewers.
